The Game- Motörhead
December 28th 2015: Another huge loss in the music world occurred when Lemmy Kilmister lost his battle with an extremely aggressive cancer.
The first song that came to mind after hearing the news was The Game. I remember watching WWE and hearing this amazing entrance music for Triple H. Motörhead definitely knew how to make an entrance. I admired the raw gritty vocals, it was unlike any vocalist I had ever heard. There was such an energy emitting from Lemmy. He was an amazing musician, multi-talented frontman, songwriter and bassist. He lived his life the way he wanted to with no regrets. The music lives on always. Thank you Lemmy.
Motörhead was formed in 1975 by Lemmy after his departure from the band Hawkwind. The band went on to remain active into 2015. In their 40 year career they have released 22 studio albums, 9 live albums, 4 EPs, 12 compilation albums and 29 singles. After Lemmy’s passing the remaining members of Motörhead confirmed that the band would not continue.
