Play, Repeat: My Current Song Obsession #9

Break Of Reality- Lateralus by Tool (Cello Cover)

I think this is a breath of fresh air. I admire the creativity and combination of different genres of music all mashed together to form something so beautiful. The sound of this cover is soothing yet fierce. The combination of the three cellos along with drums creates a blend of both a classical feel with the freedom of rock.

Break Of Reality formed in 2004 in Rochester, New York. The group consists of three cellists and a percussionist. The band has released a total of five albums: Voiceless (2004), The Sound Between (2006), Spectrum Of The Sky (2009), Covers (2012) and Ten (2014). Break of Reality also gives back to the music community they have an education outreach program which consists of different workshops from transcribing music to an open rehearsal with the band. I am looking forward to listening to some more albums from this band. If you get a chance I recommend checking out the album Covers.
